Daniela graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor
of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) with First Class Honours. Daniela is a registered Occupational Therapist (Registration number OCC0001723670).
Daniela is an occupational therapist with a strong love of working with children (0 to 12) and has more than 16 years of paediatric experience. She has worked in Canberra at Child Health and Development Services (5yrs) and currently works with children
at Therapy ACT, Early Intervention Team (11 yrs). Daniela has worked with children with a range of developmental delays, neurological conditions, disabilities, genetic syndromes and other difficulties.
Daniela is strongly committed to providing the best practice to her clients and their families. She achieves this by continuing her own professional development and training and providing evidence-based and up to date approaches and techniques in her treatment plan and therapy for each child/family
Nedra Playford graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with Honours from the University of Queensland in 1984. She is a registered occupational therapist (registration nos; OCC0001726072)
Nedra has 23 years experience as a paediatric therapist working in early intervention and school aged populations.
She specialized in equipment prescription since 2008, developing expertise in seating and positioning and prescription of complex mobility devices for children and adults. Nedra established the Children and Young People Equipment Loan Service (CAYPELS) in 2009 and the Therapy ACT Equipment Services in 2010.
Nedra believes that effective assessment and intervention
must be based on the client’s goals and priorities taking into consideration their physical and social environment. Because of her clinical expertise Nedra was employed as clinical consultant to the Enhanced Service Officer (ESO) in the ACT during 2013/14. This experience has helped Nedra to understand the impact of the principles underpinning the NDIA such as “choice and control”.
